The REEA Foundation Hostel
The REEA Foundation provides a well managed residential centre, with 24-hour care, providing accommodation for over 40 residents suffering from epilepsy and mild neurological disorders in a comfortable, home-style hostel that includes professional medical care at all times.
The centre is located on grounds in Craighall Park. A range of activities, skills training and arts and crafts classes – along with employment contracts and education – have been provided on site, all with the aim of improving functional levels and quality of life.
The Residential Facility is supported by a 24-hour medical staff and is divided into separate sections for our male and female residents.
The Weekly Activites Program includes:
- Arts and crafts
- Flower arranging
- Music interaction
- Gardening at the hostel
Some of our more able residents take part in daily duties in the garden, dining room and laundry. A group of volunteers regularly assist with activities such as arts and crafts, cooking lessons, church outings, hairdressing, bingo evenings and other playgroup activities like music interaction.
