We are currently open from 9:30am to 1pm Mon - Wed, Fri - Sat and

9:30am - 4pm on Thursdays.

What do we do?

• We thankfully accept donations of books, magazines and even cash
• We have Mondi Skips for the disposal of newsprint, so please bring it along
  
• We sell second-hand books, both fiction and non-fiction, at very competitive prices. Fiction priced from R10 upwards
• We are run by Volunteers and Hostel Residents
  
• We donate books to Firlands Children’s Home and Philile pre-school, and other charitable organisations, to help uplift the underprivileged and previously disadvantaged
• We supply Book Dealers at very competitive (sometines negotiable) prices
  
• We run Book Sales at the REEA Morning Market and outside Pick n' Pay, Craighall Park

• The REEA Morning Market is held beside the Colourful Splendour Nursery on the Second Saturday of each Month from 8:30am to 1pm
• The Pick n Pay Sale is held on the first Saturday of Alternate Months (Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct, Dec) from 10am - 1:30 pm

What do we need from you?

• Your time. Do you have a spare morning or afternoon every week? We would like to keep the bookshop open all day, but we need more volunteers to achieve this. Please consider giving us some of your time.
• Books! Are you spring cleaning and sorting books? Please bring them to us, or phone Judy 082 372 8211 or Lesley 083 252 0625 to arrange for collection.
• Your custom. Think of us when you are looking for a specific book, we will try to track it down for you. Come and browse for something good to read.
• If you know of any Schools that would like sets of Encyclopedias, please let us know as these are frequently donated.
